Read our signs of summer here and enjoy!
Summer vacation. It doesn’t matter how old you are, just about everyone looks forward to taking a little time off in the summer to soak in the beautiful weather and get away from the chores and routines of daily life. Even if you’re planning a stay-cation (Who wants to leave Seattle in the summer?! It’s our best season!), there are so many things to do in our area that there is truly something for everyone. Whether you’re playing “tourist” for the day and visiting Pike Place Market and Seattle Center, or you’re taking in a Shakespeare in the Park performance, summer vacation is a time to hit the reset button and chillax.
Showing some skin! Once the warm, balmy days of summer hit, the shorts and tank tops come out of storage. Our Seattle tattoo removal clients love showing off their tattoo-free skin. If you have a tattoo you’d like to remove, contact us for an evaluation. We offer successful tattoo removal with the least discomfort and in fewer treatments.
Sunblock. On a related note…showing some skin means protecting your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Sunblock these days come in all different formulas, so if you’ve been avoiding sunblock because you didn’t like it’s sticky feel or it makes you breakout or you don’t like the chalkiness – there are so many different kinds of sunscreen on the market now that even people who hate sunscreen can find something they like. Plus, summer just isn’t summer without that smell of sunblock!
Farmer’s Markets. Seattle’s Farmer’s Markets are in full swing and what better way to enjoy the bountiful harvests of our local farmers than picking up some fresh tomatoes, a basket of berries or a ripe melon on your way home from work. Plus, farmer’s markets are a great place to mingle with your neighbors and catch some tunes by local musicians.
Water play. Summer is a time to get outside and enjoy the water! Whether you’re swimming or boating, playing with the kids in one of the many local spray parks or just enjoying the view of Puget Sound from the outdoor deck of Ray’s Boathouse, water is an important part of the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy it!
The Fair. Summer’s finale: The Washington State Fair in Puyallup. Fun for the whole family, the Fair is where you can get your fill of wild rides, deep fried food (elephant ears!), tractor pulls, exhibits, livestock shows, listening to live entertainment, and going to the rodeo. Once the dust from the fair clears, you know summer has come to an end.
